Just wondering how you guys play Championship Sprint in your MAME cabs? I was playing it with an 8-way, and it was suprisingly decent play I guess, just not quite as fun as a wheel and pedal. ::)
My Question is, how do you all play it? Gamepads? Actual steering wheels? 8-way sticks? Spinners? What? ???
Just seeking an idea of how to play this great game!

8 way are good for 360 games. But nothing beats spinning the wheel like crazy just to make a turn.
So I'm going to be adding a 360 Pole Position Wheel so I can properly play those types of games.

A spinner should be the "minimum" requirement for Sprint... (pole Position wheel is just a spinner anyways)

But consider getting a real wheel.... Most driving games I like are 360s...

I'm currently designing a 3-P driving/2-P shooting cab.
It's going to have (3) 360 wheels, the center one of which will swap out with a 270 wheel.

I was playing it with a Vortex spinner and it worked very good. But I just got a Pole Position control panel and will start using that. There's one on Ebay right now.

I'm using an analog pedal and spinner atm, plays pretty awesome...
...I have a Pole Position wheel waiting for my next control panel tho ;D

I found a shell of a Pole2 cab about a year ago. I turned it into my driving mame cab and its been great.......

this is the only way to play--true 360 wheel with analog pedals. ;D if you can find real wheels, they are the best but go-kart steering wheels work as well. also the pedals are just off the shelf pc type hacked into a 15 pin gameport which in turn was plugged into a usb converter--works very well!
