Title: Quick negative post about happcontrols (not shipping costs)
Post by: Sylentwulf on July 22, 2004, 07:40:54 am
Just had to share:
13 days ago, I ordered a bezel and T-molding from happcontrols, I called and requested USPS shipping, and the lady I got was pretty annoying. 2 hours later she called back because she got my credit card info wrong, so I corrected her, and she said ok, thanx.
Card was charged 10-15 minutes after that, so I figured it was packed up and sent since the shipping cost was included in the charge.
10 days later, the charge on my card expires, no items are showing up, I e-mail happ twice, and get no resposne.

I guess they didn't want to send me my stuff <shrug> I went to t-molding.com and ordered it for a LOT cheaper, no problem with me. I'll make my own bezel, and won't charge myself $30 shipping either.

Hmm, that's strange about Happ control's... I've placed 4 or 5 orders from them and they've always been extremely friendly and helpful -- espicially the lady on the phone.

Perhaps there is a new person working there or somebody different from the lady I typically speak with...

*shrug*

Now I can't say much for Happ's packs their bezels though... (pretty lousy!)

I placed an order at Happs 3 days ago late in the evening.  It got filled the next day, and shipped via UPS.  UPS Shipping shows it is here in town and probably getting delivered sometime today.  Yeah the shipping cost was high ($10 on an $8 bezel) but they were very efficient for me at least.

$10 on a bezel would have been fine, they initially charged me THIRTY DOLLARS shipping by USPS for the tmolding and bezel. Honestly, I'm GLAD they screwed up, I got my t-molding in from t-molding.com the day after I ordered it, and it was only $7.00 shipping, and it was a LOT less.

I'll go make a $2.00 bezel from the walkthrough on this site after the rest of my cab is finished.

I had to call Happ Controls today.  The usual salesperson that I deal with is Lin Gorsky, and I found out that she is on vacation.  The girl who is filling in for her was a little bewildered.  I wonder if that has something to do with what happened to you.

I've never had problems with them myself but there is always a first time.

Shipping on my order of buttons, a bezel and marquee retainer was $44. Also they are backordered on the Perfect 360s. I hope they don't charge me more shipping to send those. Oh well, it shipped that same day I ordered it and I'm not complaining.

I hope they get the 360s in soon though.

THe 360's are on special right (as you probably know) at nearly half off.

With a deal like that they probably have a few backorders :-)
