Title: VirtuaNES not working correctly in Mamewah

I installed VirtuaNES and am using MameWAH. The problem is when i open a rom, it opens in a DOS box. What setting do I need to change?

Ok,I found and checked Full screen When ROM load. It works , but you see a window pop up for a split second. Is there anyway to avoid this?

Also, I downloaded the box scans fron screenshotarchive. How do I open .rar files?

Try setting Show DOS Box to No (or 0).

I'm sure WinRar trial version is free - I grabbed it at work on Friday...

I set the Dos box to auto show and it seems to work ok now. I d/l the WinRAR and now my box scans are showing fine except for a few titles that i know are in the box scans. Do I need to re-name the to match the ROM? Is that the problem?

Yes the images must match the romnames...

Also don't use the 'Auto-Show' DOS Box option for anything other than MAME...if you do it will only work as if set to 'No', or failing that unexpected results may occur (the option is hardcoded for MAME).

Now I have a prob with Z26 not reading the .ZIP roms. But it will read the .BIN roms.

I have them in different list and can't get the .ZIP roms to work, but I change list and the list with BIN roms work. WHY?

Does Z26 require 'Send ROM Extension'?  If not, then set your 'ROM Extension' to '*'.  Otherwise, MAMEWAH cannot handle multiple extensions - you would have to either a) setup 2 separate emulators (1 for ZIP, 1 for BIN), or b) convert all roms to zips.

Personally I'd go with b) :)
