Yeah, if not for the pesky problem of sporting the Confederate flag. ::)

This General Lee thing is about a goofy TV show in the eighties called the Dukes of Hazzard, not a politcal statement about the confederate flag and what it stood for a hundered years ago.
I am a northerner, but I don't see how the mere act of flying a flag that represented the south as a whole should be taboo. ???
I used to love that stupid show, flag and all. And I don't think that the producers intended for it symbolize anything other than the south.
Not everything has to be political - sheesh.

I loved that show, (I couldn't afford a Charger, so I bought and modified a Dodge Dart) I though that the flag was part of the car too, and that it didn't have any racial meaning to it. But then I started thinking, what if they made a show that had a VW bug named "The General Rommel" and it was painted gray with a Nazi flag on the roof?
I think a Nazi flag on a car is really in bad taste. I'm not black, so I can't imagine what hatred the confederate flag must stir up.
Even if you don't see the hatred or feel the contempt the flag causes, you should respect the people that do, and the people that died so that flag didn

Yeah, RIGHT ON !! ;D
Pleeeeease!! It is the perverse media who has brainwashed society into thinking the good ol' Stars & Bars are a symbol of racism. These same people are now trying to convince the public that Slave & Master are inappropriate terms on our Hard Drives and must be removed immediately, .... again , as not to OFFEND !! In a day and age when we're taught to be tolerant and respectful of others and not to condemn, how is it that if someone even looks at you the wrong way, we become offended?
When / Where ... does it ever end?
::: Insert tacky cliche' here :::
Can't we all just get along ?
Just my random spew y'all .... not meaning to cause any harm.
When I moved to the US, I moved straight to Florida .... more because the weather than anything, but the Southern people were quick to accept me, and treat me like their own. I see that flag about 20 different places everyday, and not a speck of hate from any one of them.
