Title: ***(6) 19-21" Comp monitors w/ issues for sale--S.E. Michigan FREE***
Post by: Hoagie_one on July 17, 2004, 05:51:39 pm
I have 6 computer monitors for sale or trade ***FREE***, all 5 are in need of something to make then work.

Monitor #1 -- Sync on Green monitor.  It will require a HD15 to BNC cable and either an adaptor to change a video signal to sync on green, or a video card that outputs a sync on green signal (some matrox cards for instance).  Adaptors can run anywhere from $15-$150 dollars.  I'd try Ebay.

Monitor #2 -- Another Sync on Green Monitor (see Monitor #1)

Monitor #3 -- Cracked case, not horrible, but not pretty either.  IT accepts signal Resolution but shows no picture, repair needed.

Monitor #4 -- Powers up but switches to power save mode automatically before it shows picture, repair needed.

Monitor #5 -- Powers up, no picture, repair needed.

Monitor #6 -- This was my working monitor.  Just popped one day and it has a bright white line going across the center of the screen.  I have been told it is a fairly simple fix for those who fix such things.  Before the pop, it worked excellent.

These are all old monitors and most will need a power cable and the cable to plug into video card...most require the old 5 BNC cables, which  can be bought for about $5 or less on ebay.

My zip code is 48340, in Pontiac, Michigan.  These will have to be picked up and I dont expect a ton for these as they all have issues.  No reasonable offer refused, either in cash or trade for arcade parts. they are ***FREE***

Thanks
Mike

I now also have (2) Covid EZPIX PC Video Monitor Signal Converter 85, which are used to convert a vga signal to a 4 bnc signal or a 3 bnc signal with sync on green.

You'd need a dc Power supply to run em and the appropriate bnc cables and whatnot.  I'm not sure if these would work withthe two sync on green monitors i have or not...i dont have the time or inclination to keep messing with them.  $20 each for those adn ill pay for shipping to anywhere in the US.  Or a trade for other stuff...im pretty open.

Hey, that looks like a pretty good deal to me!  I'm leaving for the weekend, so I'll check back with you on Sep. 6 or 7.  If you still have them, I'll come and get them!

im sure they'll be here, just send me a PM to set up a pickup time.  Bring a big truck, these monitors are big.  And maybe if you fix em, you can tell me how you did it.  I'd like to learn how to fix these damn things, lol

My uncle lives in Ann Arbor and was going to pick them up for me.  That kinda fell through, but I'm still scrambling to try and figure this out.  I'll keep trying.

These monitors are still available for the low low price of free, and now includes a computer monitor troubleshooting guide that i bought in the hopes of fixing these things...alas, im too stupid to grasp the concepts....and the manual is very technical.
