Recently I talked to Todd at TNT Amusements (operates out of Philadelphia). In response to my email concerning trackballs, he replied that "We have tested working used tracballs (used in the Golden Tee games) for $30". Anyone interested? :)
-
I would be. But Is it possible, perhaps for a little extra money for your trouble, to get a blue transparent ball instead of a white ball? I love the way the illuminated blue trackballs look. I'm just hoping it wouldn't be much trouble for me to add a light under it.
Thanks in advance :D
-
I would definitely be interested in 2 working balls.
Ummmmm. That didn't exactly sound right, but you know what I mean.
What do we need to do?
-
OKay...i dont like my computer crashing after each post so ill keep this short. I do NOT have any trackballs in my possession so I cant tell you if they have blue translucent (sorry).
Also, just email Todd: Tntquality@aol.com with the subject as Re: I_have_A_Question_About_A_Game. Mention that you are interested in purchasing trackballs and "S. Coleman" told you (dont worry its not for commission or anything but just so he knows). He'll respond in a day or so (sorry no pictures but they are cleaned up from the response he sent me...no digital camera ???
-
Thanks,
I sent him an email, and I'll post the reply when i get it in case it helps anyone else.

My message:
I was told by "S. Coleman" that you have trackballs
for sale. He said they were from Golden Tee machines,
so I assume they have white balls. I asked him if it
would be possible, for a little extra money for
his/your trouble, to get a blue transparent ball
instead. He said to contact you directly about this to
see if it was possible.
Todd at TNT Amusement's reply:
I can look into this and get back to you...tested and working white tracballs are $30 plus shipping....I can swap out a translucent blue for another $15....if this price is okay, I will look for the blue ball! LMK! Todd
Hope this helps
-
Nice. Hopefully that is still in your price range :P.
-
It's still cheaper than buying the trackball and then buying another ball separately. I had hoped he already had one, but so it goes.
$45+ shipping is still a heck of a lot cheaper than $98.85 + $6.91 sales tax + shipping from happcontrols.
-
Yeah at around 100 bucks each I couldn't afford a Happ either...figured since these are the same somebody would want to order one. :)
-
I have about 10 "tested working USED in golden tee" trackballs(Wico/Imperial brand) that I could let go for $30.00 with shipping included in that. be awair that most trackballs that are used for even a short time on location in a golden tee do need new rollers. there only about $10.00 a set the last time I ordered them. bearing seem to last for a few sets of rollers.
-
Will the replacement rollers happ has work for those?
http://www.happcontrols.com/trackballs/95083000.htm
also, do you know if their mounting plates work as well?
It's probably apparent, but i've never bought a trackball before. I just know it never hurts to ask questions.
-
no those rollers will not work. you can get them from here http://www.therealbobroberts.com/ for $8.00 a set
And yes the mounts are the same for happs and wico/imperial trackballs
-
you can also get the rollers from here http://www.arcadeshop.com/parts.htm#Trackball for $10.00 a set
-
Thanks for the info everyone
Just ordered my trackball from Todd at TNT Amusements. He said they oiled up the bearings and tested it for awhile before packing it up to ship, so it should be nice. With the blue translucent ball it was $45 + $7 S&H.

glad to hear someone is ordering one of these :-)...now its time to pool together what little cash is left for one of these :P
