Title: XBOX USB-work in mamewah??
Post by: Demon-Seed on July 13, 2004, 07:44:43 am
Hi
I am planning on getting xbox pad hacks for my cp. now the thing is I can wire them directly to my cp then go to a xbox adapter that can go to xbox, or into PC USB.  I know that most emulators will reconize USB and I could use it in games, but what about windows functions and mamewah? Is there a way to  make a USB appear to be key presses? instead of a gamepad when hooked to a pc? just trying to understand this...that way no need to have some sort of molex switch or something between an XBOX and IPAC.

Speaking of Molex... anyone sell them all ready done? or anyone make me them if i have to?

thx
JIM ;D

Depending on the software you get with the USB adaptor, you may be able to get the controls to work as keypresses.  For instance I just bought a PSX/GCN/DC > USB adaptor which has a nice bit of software which can map to keypresses...alternatively there is always JoyToKey...

It won't matter with the next release of MAMEWAH, as it will have native joystick support ;)
