Just a small release to make the prog compliant with MAME v0.84 (but retains compatibility with older versions)...
One thing to note, if you have used previous versions, you may need to delete AMRT.CFG from the installation folder (ie if it exists, delete it).

hey minwah is there a setup file or whatnot that will allow more resolutions from the arcadevga...only reason i ask this is cause i have a d9200 as well along with the arcadevga and i can get in alot more resolutions in advmame but dont like to put all that time into configuring the advmame. thanx

You can modify the ArcadeVGA.txt file if you like - just add on any extra supported resolutions...

OK, what version of MAME are you using? If <0.84 make sure you tick the 'Legacy MAME' option.
Also, the list no longer auto-generates (because when you select your MAME exe you may not have set Legacy MAME yet). So you need to hit View > Generate Native Res List (or whatever).
Let me know if that doesn't work...

I downloaded the lastest version of mame and I still cant get it to work. There are roms in the roms folder.
-
I got it working now, the resolution tool didn't like my folder structure which was D:\Drive (D)\mame

Really? What did you change it to? Was it the spaces it didn't like?
-
I just moved mame to the root of D: and it worked.

OK, thanks, I'll try and fix that if I can replicate the problem...

I thought all the possible arcadevga resolutions were already included in the ArcadeVGA.txt file, or are there more?

Yes you're right...I can't remember if 800x600 is in the standard ArcadeVGA.txt or not, but I think that is the only extra res. that the D9200 will do.
