I just recieved my IPAC 4player and a bunch of stuff from Happs. Naturally a rigged a quick make shift 1 player joystick setup to see how everything works.
I keep running into problems under win2k , specifically with the "alt" button. Frequently I get a popup while playing, asking me if I want to disable hot switching (or something like that, I cant quite remember what it says).
Of course when I answer yes, everything is fine, but it is still quite annoying. When I reboot, the symptons reappear.
IPAC does not have a keystroke reprogrammer from win2k yet, so I have to use the alt key. Any suggestions?

I had the same thing happen to me just recently in WinXP. It's to do with the Sticky Keys function.
It's there so that disabled people can just toggle the shift, ctrl and alt keys in the same way that the caps lock toggles. It gets activated when you bash one of the keys 5 times quickly.
The easiest thing to do is to go into the Control Panel, into Accessibility, and then remove all the ticks from the Sticky Keys boxes (either that or go into Add/Remove Windows components and uninstall the Accessibility features altogether).
