I guess for me it would be either Night Driver or Stunt Cycle. They both came out in 1976, but I'm not sure which came first. We used to have Night Driver at the local Dairy Queen when I was a young pup, and I would beg my dad for a quarter every time we went there.

Night Driver's the one with the steering wheel and the black screen with white road markers, yeah?
if it is then thats the one for me too.... a camping holday, in the games room/shop onthe camp site.. i must have been about 11... so thatll be 1983
atleast that's the earliest i can remember anyway, lol

Pong at Shakey's Pizza... I also used to play a ton of Sprint 2, Night Driver, and Stunt Cycle... and one of my all time favorites, Death Race at the Fox Theatre.
(One of the Herbie the Love Bug movies was showing, and they had the actual car (or one of them, or one made up to look like it) out front... I thought it was so cool...)

ive looked at datsun280zzzap on mame and that looks familiar as the first game i probably played maybe mid to late 70's. space invaders (cocktail) i can definitely remember when and where about '81 at the skate-rink.

I'm only 30, but I my GodFather ran a Arcade and I think I use to play the game there.
Another one of my favourites of all time was the old style Baseball game. The one where you hit a button to swing the batt.

An EM pin I played at a flea market. This was the early seventies and it was quite old at that point. It took dimes, would let you play all your balls at once, and had some form of monkey with a hammer that'd ring a bell when you did things. That's all I remember about it.
Another old game I remember playing a lot was an EM sitdown dogfight simulator. You sat in a chair that swiveled side to side, in front of a semi-circular screen. There were projectors under the marquee that displayed clouds and enemy planes on this screen. You swiveled the chair while moving your aim point up and down using a joystick mounted on the chair's arm. Hitting the planes resulted in a bit of crinkled red cellophane dropping in front of that plane's projector to simulate it fireballing. ;)
Lots of pins in the seventies and early eighties. I remember seeing a Pong clone but I don't think I ever played it. The first video game I remember playing was Breakout.
I sort of owned one of those EM baseball games in the late eighties, someone left one in a mini-wearhouse I had rented. It worked so I played it using a lightbulb adapter there in the wearhouse. Several months later the real owner came looking for it and like an idiot I gave it back. ;)
