After making my ulitimate ArcadeCD, I have found a new appreciation for vector games (like Ateroid, Space Fury, Star Wars, etc). So here is my question, are there any PC vector games out there? or a place to honor vector games on the net? or vector desktop backgrounds and stuff on the net?

I doubt there is any type of content for pc written in such a way that they can be used on a vector monitor...
The home computer just never was designed with vector in mind, simple as that.
-
The closest I remember to a PC vector game was one of the Mechwarrior games. (I'm thinking MW2, but I'm not sure anymore.) The game wasn't a vector game in the arcade sense of the word, but one of the targeting modes made everything look like a vector game.

You could try VectorMAME, but you'd need a vector monitor.

I am looking for less of an actual vector game and more of a vector-like game. I like the darkness and sparce colors they emit from my computer. They remind mo of the film Tron in that sense; I have never seen a theater so dark as when I saw Tron.

The oldest versions of the game "Elite"[url] are the closest thing I can think of. (http://www.iancgbell.clara.net/elite/)

You could try Xpilot. It's one of the first multiplayer games that you can play over the internet (that I know off) and people still play it. It kind of looks like an asteroids game.

I remember playing some networked tank type game on a MacIntosh about 10 years ago. I don't remember the name and google isn't helping.
I think the tank was shapped like triangle.

I remember that too... what was that called? On this same topic, I think I am going to make my own vector-like art desktop backgrounds. I will let you know how they turn out and post them here if anyone wants them. I think Space Fury or Asteroids or Major Havoc would be a good place to start.
