Title: T-stik plus vs...
Post by: Gradius on July 03, 2004, 04:49:31 pm
...vs the standard T-stik. Apart from the switch on the top, are there any other differences in parts or performance of the stick? Also, what are the differences between the standard Tstik and the original model by Industrias Lorenzo. I think Andy said something about a modification he made...

The switch on both the T-Stick and T-Stick Plus are the same.  You can still switch the plus in the same way as the standard one.  The difference is the shaft is longer to accomodate the spring mechanism (plus the few parts for the mechanism itself) and there is a slot cut out of the plastic thing that the shaft presses on the switch actualtors.

The two big differences are that you can switch the Plus from the top, and that the balltops only fit the Plus.

Functionally, and play-wise, the guts are the same on both.

I have a regular T-Stick with a ball-top.  Works fine.  Its really a beautiful looking joystick actually...

Are you sure yours isn't a T-stik Plus, or possibly a J-stik?

They don't make balltops for the regular T-stik.

My question is, how do the J-sticks stack up against the T-sticks???

The J-stiks are similar in design, but have a lighter spring, and longer throw.

Hmmm....  Now I'm really confused.  I know I ordered a T-Stick (not a plus) and my balltop handle fits it fine.  But the Ultimarc site clearly says the balltop is for the plus only.

I wonder if I really did order a Plus (my email confirmations from Ultimarc don't list items) or the site is just not accurate....

Well does the stick feature the lift & twist 4/8-way switching??  That would tell for sure...

Perhaps if you ordered a balltop Andy assumed you wanted a T-Stik Plus?
