Anyone know of a great place to acquire any beat up Pool Tables?
Re-Lining and re-staining etc. aren't a problem.
Usually swap sheets would have them but of course when I'm interested they don't seem to be available.
eBay doesn't seem like that great of a place, more brand new than anything.

Check the advertising in your local paper. You could also run a 'willing to buy' ad.

Ask around at local taverns. Check also with people who do pool table recovering. Sometimes they know people who want to sell older or beat up tables.

I've found a few pool tables for friends on http://www.craigslist.com (http://www.craigslist.com) for $100 or so. They had the tables rebumpered and refelted and have fairly nice pool tables now for under $350 total.
Might be worth a check to see if there is one for your area / city.

The last SuperAuction I went to they were selling 4 of them. They sold for a combined $250 :o

I'm with Drew, every auction around here I've been to had several up for bidding.

In michigan there was a pooltable a week for free if you where willing on moving it yourself.
How I got mine... (but I'm looking at getting a better one in a few weeks... if the auction is good to me.)

One thing to make sure of at the auction, if you want to play it right away, make sure they include the balls. I thought that'd be a no-brainer, but oddly, only one of the four tables came with balls.
If you have to buy a set, you could easily spend a couple hundred on balls alone.
balls... :P
