i changed the monitor in my wonderboy cab but kept the old chassis colour is good but i had to adjust the vert as it was very narrow now the screen is full size but the top half of screen has lines that are different widths that compresses the top half of the screen the monitors are from different makers but all connections are the same any ideas ??? thnks heaps

Going to need more info/pics before I would even hazard a guess-what make monitor came out? what went in? And i don't understand your description of the problem..

sorry i cant post pic here for some reason a samsung screen came out over the years it had just went black and white slowly losing its colour so i changed it which has nearly the same label on it apart from its in japanese all connections were the same so i just used the same chassis so when i fired it up the screen colour was spot on but not very high so i adjusted the vertical so the game filled the screen but however the top half of the screen has crooked lines that run from right to left and all the lines are different widths i can email you a pic if you mail me your address the bottom half of the screen is perfect

So you did a tube swap--were the vertical ohms similar? Sounds like your vertical deflection is off and to fill the screen you are adjusting it past its sweet spot. When that happens you get those angled lines at the top.

so it sounds like i should call a tech lol cool thnks anyway

just had a thought before i do does anyone know how to change that or is it not adjustable ?? cheers for the info

Just put the chassis to goes to the tube with the tube. You can't exchange chassis between different monitor types as a rule.
If you don't have a chassis for your good tube you might want to get one from 8liners.
