Just found a new webpage for identifying monitor chassis:
www.jomac.net.au/mon.htm
I noticed they misspell Kortek as Kortex for some reason.
-
Cool! Great link--thanks ken--I'll add it to the FAQ.
-
They mention that they could always use photo submissions for monitors they don't have listed. Maybe it would be a good idea to send in the Jen Shinn chassis pictures?
-
The reason for the spelling is that Kortek and Kortex are the same company , both brands exist but are more commonly labelled Kortex :)
-
Wow! That's weird. Here in the USA it's KORTEK. I have never seen any labeled Kortex. Perhaps you should mention that on your id page.
Also here in the USA is the Kortek USA office in Nevada which supplies new Kortek monitors and service/parts for all Kortek models.

Hey there Joey!
It's a surprise to see you pop up here . . . you fixed a nanao kz-18en for me last year - just to let you know it's working great and looking fantastic in my cab (which is still not quite finished!) ;D so, thanks again man!
Cheers

Ken , your right I'll be updating my monitor ID page very soon , I should really change the Kortex to Kortek as it seems that when all these monitors were imported into Australia by Avel , Via the Seejoo Corporation they had been relabelled to Kortex . Maybe this is why most people outside of Australia haven't seen the name Kortex before.
Thanks for the additional pics for the web page Ken :)
Quite a few people around the place know I have been in the Amusement repair business for quite a while (21 years now) , but I,m not sure how many people here realise that Ken Layton has been in the business even longer than me ( about 28 years ) ! Now how awesome is this after 28 years the guy is still here helping people !
BTW I just ordered one of those Jen Shinn chassis to test out so will add some pics of that one as well , or sooner if anyone has some I can post up ?
-
The Jen Shinn chassis for 25" tubes has a pincushion control on it so a wider variety of tubes can be used. The 19" chassis does not have that control. Do a search here on the 8liners chassis and the 'Wooo mama' thread.
