Title: Software V-Hold lock for Arcade Monitor?
Post by: Knoxximus on June 25, 2004, 10:27:44 pm
Okay, so I've gotten a new Video Amp from Ultimarc and the picture is much stableler (is that a word? :P) and I've even configured powerstrip 640x280 so now everything, from boot up to any game I decide to load, flips at the same slow rate.  Hence lies the problem.....I get close, but I still cannot get a solid V-Hold lock at all, no matter how much I fiddle with the monitor's external control panel.  Is there anyway to bypass the monitor's v-hold pot and "software lock" it?  I know on computer monitors, V-Hold isn't an issue, regardless of the game.

I'm running ArcadeVga->Video Amp->Sharp Image 33" Arcade Monitor.

Please HELP!

I had a problem like that also ended up finding out that connecting the Horz and Vert together caused it to scroll when I jumped from one game to another or from mamewah to windows .  I found the connection on the chassis that was for vert connected it and problem solved.
