Anyone know a source for new 19" medium Resolution arcade monitors? I need a couple, one for a paperboy, and one for a champ sprint.

Neo Tec Graphic makes them (www.neotecgraphic.com) and you can buy them either direct from Neo Tec or from Happ Controls.

old thread- bumped only becuz as i've searched the forums here it seems that Mr. Layton's name appears often amongst the Neotec question threads.
Ken... do you have one of these monitors (i'm assuming yes, considering your answers to various questions)... give us a scoop (personal review if you will) of your model and experience w/ that model good and bad.
there was some debate about the concern of having to manual switch from cga/ega to VGA ... but then someone enlightened to the fact that hey just use the VGA with advmame or the avga card.
scoop.... give it!! :D

We used to have some Neotec 19" EGA monitors at my former employer (a long time game operator who has since gone out of business). I don't remember the model number, but apparently Neotec no longer makes a 19" EGA monitor as they no longer show one on their site. It might be worth a shot to email/contact Neotec (www.neotecgraphic.com) and ask someone there.

yea i've emailed them, no response as of yet (although it was just yesterday and i had several questions for them)-
right after i emailed i found some other thread posts that shows some footwork others have already done to inquery Neotec about their monitors. They sound decent enough, just wish someone who has made the jump to get one could tell us how they look. *hint hint to Retroblast* :D :D :D
i'd think using the VGA connector on it and sporting avga or advmame would prolly be a good (if the quality of the display is likened or superior to other arcade/hybrid monitor favorites).

You should also contact Wells-Gardner and see what they have in the "Refurbished" department.
Rodotron has a 20" EGA only monitor (the CH-248) and a 20" CGA/EGA/VGA monitor (the CH-666-20) at www.rodotron.com.tw/list.htm
Also check out www.makvision.com (they recently bought out Pentranic from what I've heard).
