Title: what parts do i need for a joystick

I am new to this and looking to make a joystick with a wood. What do i need i know i need a joystick and a pushbutton. But i need to know the rest of the things i need. I am making a fighting game arcade stick.

Also where can i get help to how to put them toghter.

one more thing how to i plug it in my computer where to get a wire for it and for a xbox, dreamcast, playstation 2.

only one cheap and easy solution for you my friend.

hack a cheap psx pad($5 onces are good).

then get usb converter,dreamcast converter,x-box converter.that all..hacking psx pad is less then nothing so i would say take my advise.i am doin same and i know its easier then any other way to connect many systems.

if you want to use xbox you need to hack psx pads with the analog joystick i dont know why but it just wont work without them

seriouslly???

i dont have x-box yet so did not test.however,dreamcast and pc seem to work perfect ;D
