I was thinking about painting one side of my cabinet (Neo-Geo) red and one side (a deep) blue with matching t-molding on each side . I'm just wondering if anyone has done anything like this before and has pics. Any thoughts?

thats the great thing about this hobby, you can do anything you want to. i say go for it. i am building a new machine and my artwork(designed by nannuu) is blue on the left side and red on the right side. i am thinking of using two different colors of tmolding to match the marquee and control panel.

especially appropriate for vs style cabs with lots of fighters and sports games

I vaguely remember seeing something similar, but I think it was a mock-up of some sort. I also say go for it, if you like it, then that's all that matters.
And also I totally agree that would be great for a cab with some classic vs. games.

Thanks for the support. Does anybody have or know how I can find a paint color for the Neo-Geo Red? Any existing machines have a comparable blue to the NG red? I vaguely remember seeing a Tekken or Soul Calibur that was in a blue cabinet.

Isn't the NeoGeo red close to the red of a red pushbutton? I can't really recall right now, but if it is, you could always bring in the button to have them match that color. Could do the same thing with a blue button and use all red buttons on the red side and blue on the blue side!!
ahh.... color coordination heh :)

That probably would be best. Why didn't I think of that!Duh! ::) I've got a red green blue thing going on with my buttons but red and blue joysticks. I'm using MAS systems joysticks so they'll be removable for console play. I could easily use the pushbuttons to color match. That would probably look good.
