I just got an Oscar Controls mouse hack for my Happ Trackball and am wondering how to mount the board so it's not flailing about inside my trackball panel. Any suggestions? There are some very small holes through the board I bet were used to hold it in place but I think finding screws long enough or thick enough to hold it in place would be pretty difficult.

I zipped ties it and then zipped it to something else. could always wrap in in a static bag ir bubble wrap and tape it up as well.
sall good ;)

There's an idea. I hadn't thought of that.
Any other solutions?

i didn't mount it IN the trackball... I mounted it outside with standoffs or something screwed into the control panel wood... I think.. it's been ages since i've looked under there.

I mounted mine in a project box with the input cables coming out one side, and the USB cable coming out the other.
The actual mouse hack part is just thrown in loose, with cable restrictors on both cables, so that it doesn't get pulled on.

I guess I should have clarified. :-\I'm not trying to mount it in the trackball but in a removable trackball panel that is part of my CP. Basically a big box seperate from my joysticks that will act as a mouse.
Where did you get your standoffs? Did you hack them out of a mouse or did you make them? And what kind of screws did you use? Thanks!

Someone mentioned before that mounting circuits in anti-static bubble-wrap is bad...apparently the stuff can *conduct* electricity...

That didn't sound like such a good idea to begin with.
