Ok people, i'm almost done being a n00b and asking questions.. i believe i'm almost set....
right now i'm in process of puting consoles and pc in CP tower on a showtime cab... my only concern is, how is the v-out connection gonna get to TV? i planned to use s-vedio (i know they only come in certain lengths...
would you suggest putting it someplace else (both consoles and/or pc)?

Alright, here is how I have mine set up, at least in design.
Below the monitor, I've created a storage space reminiscent of a TV cabinet, which houses all of my consoles. The pedestal, directly under the CP is where my PC is to be located. I have set up a Pelican Pro System Selector to be used to swap between game systems. I have an extended VGA cable that is being used to connect the PC to a VGA to TV converter box, which then outputs to Component out for HD.
Get that? ;)

hmmm...sounds like the opposite i was gonna do...
but it sounds more relastic...i'm just trying to position the consoles in a way that it's unquie...i thought about hanging them or somthing from somewhere...
are you do the showtime to appear to be one piece, or you just gonna do two towers, (1 tv, 1 cp)
i wasn't too concerned with making it look like 1 peice.. and the wire going from each i'm not concern with..
Does picture come out better in HD? what size tv? i'm only doing 25-27 (havn't found a lucky tv yet)

Mine is a break down style. 4 parts and then swappable control panels.
You have the base, which the storage and pedestal latch onto. Then the Monitor unit goes onto the storage, CPs latch onto pedestal. Wiring is kept minimal via Molex connectors.
I was lucky and found a Phillips 36" HDTV at Wal-Mart for 500 bucks. It has one component and then 2 s-video and 2 standard RCA connections. No DVI.
Component on HD makes a big difference. I can run my PC games at full resolutions such as 1024 x 768 with minimal stretching.
I would reccomend going at least 32" on a showcase. Hulk did one with a 27" and it looked nice. I would advise doing a smaller cabinet with any monitor smaller than a 27"
