Title: Who hacked an ActLabs gun to a real arcade gun case?

I searched for about 20 minutes and couldn't find the old post.

I am doing a hack and wanted to see what others are doing.

(and anyone with pictures?  I'm currently trying to get the original optical lense from the original arcade gun to be used... Just because I believe it will be more accurate).

Not quite but I attempted to stick the Act Labs guts into a PSX Time Crisis gun a while ago:

Basically I broke both guns!  ::)

I haven't tried since to get it working...but I will one day ;)

My only problem was that I did some re-wiring and must've got it wrong somehow.  The only other thing you might have trouble with is getting the lense / optics setup in the right place, tho I am not sure quite how crucial that is - I was going for a stick it all in and hope it works approach!

Edit: Just noticed I started the thread linked to above exactly 1 year ago to the day.  How bizarre...

Well, I talked (posted?) about doing it.  I have three Nintendo revolvers, but no Act Labs guns as of yet.  Haven't even opened the revolvers yet.

I couldn't find that post either.  I do remember someone starting a project like this around 2-3 months ago.  At the time he said that he thought it would take him a week or two to complete, but then there was no news after that.  I'm assuming the project was unsuccesful, but I don't really know.  I thought he'd at least would have told everyone the outcome, whether success or failure.   Maybe some other life changing event happened that prevented him from continuing on with the project.  

If you're still around let us know how it turned out or what the status is.  I know there are others that would like to do something like this, but to date I don't know of any successes.  I've heard of several failed attempts, but no successes.

I think it was hacked into a Colt .45 plastic case from Happs(?). I remember the person posting that it did work for him very well. Sorry, that is all that I remember.
