Has anyone gotten NFL Blitz PC to work with Windows XP and/or a GeForceFX series nVidia graphics card? I've tried running the Direct3D executable of the game, but it always crashes after the Midway screen. The 3DFX version won't load for obvious reasons. Has anyone had any success with this game?

It runs fine on my XP.

Are you using Direct 3D? Also, what video card do you have?
Edited to add: I've tried a number of 3DFX/Glide wrappers, but to no avail. Most get to the title screen, and then give a "breakpoint has been reached" error message and crash. I have no idea why the regular D3D version won't work, though.

The problem could be that I'm running the demo version. Perhaps they revised the D3D drivers in the final release.
By the way, does anyone know of any place online where the PC versions of Blitz or Blitz 2000 are sold? I've checked all of the major online stores, eBay, and my local CompUSA's bargain bin, but can't find it anywhere. Is there some obscure e-tailer that sells either of these two games?

Mine works perfectly on XP as well. I use the D3D version on an NVidia GeForce 4 MX440.
I got my copy off of Ebay for about $10 a year or so ago.
I doubt you'll find it anywhere else other than a used software store maybe.

Do you guys update your copies of XP regularly? Uninstalling the Windows Service Pack had some effects on Blitz:
With SP1
Blitz3fx.exe (w/ glide wrapper): Game crashes when trying to advance from the title screen.
BlitzD3D.exe: Game shuts down when trying to advance from the "Midway" screen.
Without SP1
Blitz3fx.exe (w/ glide wrapper): Program runs attract mode, but crashes as soon as you attempt to start an actual game.
BlitzD3D.exe: Game displays an endless loop of the swishing "Play Football" panels when you try to advance from the title screen, causing it to crash.
