ah...
yeah...
A collection with 15 of almost every console is SO worth it.
I can see a collection of different items being worth it... but this looks like a dealer...who wants to sell everything as a 'collection'.

I wished the pictures worked...

I wished the pictures worked...
try again... they didn't work for me earlier, but they work now.
-
had they been american systems, i would consider...
-
If i had enough money i would buy it jsut for the dreamcast development system :)

Considering all those development kits, that auction is worth A LOT more than $100,000, even if it is all in japanese. The ps2 dev kit costs like $30,000 by itself.
-
The pictures didn't work for me last night but they were there this morning. However a couple of hours later the auction was gone. I wonder what happened.
There were alot of development and limited edition pieces there so it would have been worth it I think.
-
I think it might not have been legal to sell off dev kits like that.
-
The PS2 dev kit is actually 10K
Much of that old stuff is devalued greatly. 100K is rediculous.
-
Anyone know where i can get GD-Rs? ;D ;)

It got slashdotted and I read the thread about it. That stuff is worth much more than $100,000. The ps2 dev kits easily go for $20k on the secondary market. Usually they are bought by actual game makers on a tight deadline. You can get them for cheaper through Sony but it takes months for everything to be processed and even then Sony still owns them, they just lease them to you. That is probably why the auction got pulled, the guy was basically selling stolen property.
That being said, that auction would have brought a lot more than $100,000 if it was allowed to continue and customs would let it go by, which they wouldnt.
