Title: Pelican universal controller
Post by: darkdreamr on June 11, 2004, 02:36:48 am
Ok... This is frustrating me!!

im making a mame arcade..

I bought a radioshack Ps2 to PC converter...
Ive tested many controls on it.. it works wonders on my computer..

So.. i have been planning on going out and getting the pelican real arcade joystick for quite a while.. Nobody has the PS2 only ones around me anymore so i get the universal one.

I get home.. GUESS WHAT??? ITS NOT WORKING WITH MY PC!!

I plug it into the PS2.. it works fine.. So does all my other PS2 joysticks when i plug them into the converter

So .. i have to ask.. has anyone had a problem with Pelicans Universal Real Arcade Joystick when hooking it up to Radio Shacks Ps2toPC converter?

Is there ANYTHING I can do to get this fixed?!?!??!!?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

No, the universal stick does not work with converters.
And no, there's nothing you can do to fix it.

Go return the universal stick and find the PS2 only one.

You might want to try a MAS systems stick.  I'm going to use 2 of them with a pc to USB adapter in my cabinet.  They're a little pricey but mine have gamecube and ps2 support.  I've seen the pelican sticks and the MAS ones look and feel a lot nicer.  They use real happ controls where as I think the pelican's have clear buttons that feel a little lighter than Happ.

Their site is www.massystems.com  You want the super prostick and to order you have to call them.  The lady there is very helpful and you can do any number of combinations with the support.
