Title: Panasonic TVs
Post by: Thread Killer on June 10, 2004, 01:02:50 pm
I have a couple of questions for those of you that use Panasonic TVs that have the "Auto Power On" feature:

1) Does the TV power on when power is restored to a surge protector?

2) Does it turn to the S-Video or Component channel automatically, even if the surge protector has been switched off for several days?

TIA

The Tv does have an auto power on.  I just tested it and it works perfectly.

If my tv has been switched to svideo input... it wont come out of that unless i change it...  even after being turned on/off.

The picture on the thing is purely awesome!

One problem tho - is that my paticular tv dosnt work with the actlabs tv gun.  I think there are differeing models that do.  This may have to do with higher reslution than other tvs...  or maybe its something else... not sure.

Someday I hope to try the component in on it.

(panasonic 27"  model CT-27D11E  )

Does it remember to go to S-Video, even when unplugged for an extended period of time (e.g. 1 day)?

My 20" Panasonic with S-Video stays in S-Video mode without the power cord being plugged in for days.  But it doesn't have the auto on feature unfortunately.
