I have been reading that most people are now prefering plywood instead of MDF??
Well, I bought MDF and started cutting. I am concerned about the weight (using the plans from the "book")
I plan on making the monitor removable so I hope this thing won't be too heavy to move.
Anyone here use 3/4" MDF like me? Do you regret it? If so, why?
Thanks

Unless you plan of moving your cab around on a semi-regular basis (not including simple sliding to get to the back which casters would take of) it's okay for the cab to be heavy. I'm using MDF and lots of others have too. You can't go wrong with either (unless you putting the cab somewhere where it gets flooded a lot).

I don't regret it at all. I haven't had to move my cabinet yet though. MDF has a nice finish for painting. Yes its heavy. Weight isn't really a factor to me when I think about arcade cabinets.
Also if it really is too heavy for you, you can always disassemble it and move it. I don't know how often you plan on moving it though...
