Title: Removing Old Vinyl.. Is it worth it ??
Post by: Acids on June 09, 2004, 05:44:42 am
Hello, I have acquired another Arcade machine which while in pretty good condition  :-\   It has a dark Aqua vinyl over the sides and front of the machine.

It has seen better days and i was wondering what my options are?

Remove it?    whats the best way to get clean wood again ??
Or
Cover over it with more vinyl ???   ( NOT a preferred option )

I kinda want to get back to the wood finish and paint it a flat black to show the wood grain effect .. ( or is that asking too much  ::))

HELP ME PLEASE.

Steel & Glue.  It gets itcky and you need to get it all off and then clean it with solvent like "goo gone" or mineral spirits.

Use a big 'ol wire brush and a pretty powerful drill.
