Title: connecting ultimarc vga breakout cable to a scart plug
Post by: Dr_horror on June 04, 2004, 03:08:49 am
Hi, I am confused about soldering the H and V wires from the ultimarc vga breakout cable to a scart plug as I want to connect the ArcadeVGA card to the scart socket on my TV

I have read that the H and V wires on the vga breakout cable must be joined together and then wired to  pin 16 and 20 on the scart plug

Please can someone explain exactly how to do this

Thanks

solder both H and V sync wires to pin 16. then solder a short length of wire to connect pins 16 to 20.

Just been looking for the wiring diagram for VGA > SCART.  The site linked to above does not work. (404).  Does someone have a link to a simple wiring diagram for this?

cheers

Craig

Note: there are 2 different SCART standards, European and Japanese.  The cable looks exactly the same for both but the pins are wired differently.  The site referenced above is for European Scart only.

Cheers for the link Hiryu.  Dave, I live in England so it's the European pin-out's I'm after.  Thanks for the heads-up tho
