Title: Is a certain character you would like to use not on the keyboard?
Post by: crashwg on June 03, 2004, 07:18:59 pm
This is the post for you...

To save you from having 5 million keys on your keyboard, someone, somewhere along the way decided to put alt keycodes into the windows system.  I'm pretty sure they also work in dos but I'm not so sure about mac.

Anyways, here they are!  I have also attached the .txt file I keep for reference.

Actually the codes for DOS are different. I've always used Character Map in Windows to find the code for a preticular character. ;)

Crashwg,
Printed and posted the list at work.  I used it a bunch of times already.  I like the character map, but I don't like having to open and scroll.  Thanks.

(Homer Simpson reading the computer screen) "To Start Press Any Key". Where's the ANY key? I see Esk ["ESC"], Catarl ["CTRL"], and Pig-Up ["PGUP"]. There doesn't seem to be any ANY key. Woo! All this computer hacking is making me thirsty. I think I'll order a TAB. [presses TAB key].
