Title: How does this guy get Happ products so cheap?

He's a VERY respectable seller.

And almost everything he sells is a good 10-15% cheaper than ordering from Happ.  Not to mention he ships cheaper.

Anyone had any business transactions from him?

No experience with him.  Bid with caution, though.  Ebay can be a great resource for cheap parts but it's also easy to get carried away in bid wars with other bidders.  You have to know when to throw in the towel and that means knowing what you could get the item for elsewhere.

Good luck

Agreed, but everything he sells is Buy it now pretty much.

He seems pretty honest (Saying when his pushbuttons are Happ and when they are Betson)

Not too mention I would hope some of his 852 buyers would know if the products were counterfit.

They look pretty legit, same bag Happ come in and everything.

123gumby123 is a good ebay seller. I have ordered stuff from him in the past and  he ships very quickly. You do have to read the auctions as a good portion of the items he sells are not HAPPS. He is honest and responds well to questions.

I've ordered from him.  Fairly quick shipping.  As I said in another recent thread, the buttons and switches were not Happs, which the auction led me to believe they were.

I've bought from him as well. He shipped fast, contacted me about a mistake I made when placing my order (that he could have ignored) and was generally very helpful.

I too thought that I was getting happ buttons (I bought the joystick/button combo) but when I re-read the auction listing I found it to be very clear. I think like a lot of people, I probably just saw "happ" in the listing and assumed the rest. If you look at all of his listings, he clearly states when he includes the happ buttons.

Here are his listings (http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=123gumby123&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50)

First as others said - the title may say "Happ Competition Joysticks and Pushbuttons", but the buttons are not Happ.  Not a problem.

Second, both he and www.therealbobroberts.com offer 10-15% cheaper than Happ.  This is because Happ offers a discount if you buy 10+ or 100+ of an item and these sellers pass some of that discount on to the customer.

Yes, Happ Controls has "operator's" prices for those that buy often and in quantities.

I sent the guy and email in case he wanted to reply to some of the questions here (like I said, he was a good seller).

Here's an excerpt (with some editing to make it clearer):
" I understand the possible confusiuon with the buttons. I can only fit so many letters in the auction title description.

I have made the decision to eliminate the Betson-Imperial buttons I sell. I have placed them on sale at .99 cents starting today. To be
competitive and similar with other larger companies I'm only going to carry Happs Competitive joysticks, Happs Competitive convex buttons and Happs old style concave buttons. You will see the new Happs Concave buttons on e-bay next week."

The main thing I got out of this was that I'm going to buy a couple of extra buttons. I like the first set I got and although I can't physically compare them to the Happs, they seem authentic to me.

I asked him if the sticks ship in the original polys and he said yes.  Not that he couldn't fake it, but I trust him.  I will probably be getting my Competition sticks from him.

I've just ordered a bunch of stuff from him this morning.
Almost half the price of buying the same parts here in the UK, EVEN AFTER INSURED SHIPPING.

He was very quick to respond to emails and very helpful.
I have every confidence in him. 8)

My stuff arrived a couple of days ago.
I'm very pleased with what I ordered and obviously the price.

I can't vouch for the eBay guy, but I can vouch for Bob Roberts.   I had a real good experience with him.
