All,
I hope you can help me out. I've decided to mount my pc monitor, caseless, in my cabinet. The problem is, the control board is connected to the tube in quite a few different places. Is there someone out there who can tell me if I need to remove the suction cup piece shown here?
Any other tips would be helpfull. There are so many wires!

Also what about removing the base? I can't see how it is attached.

Follow the discharge procedure and defang the monitor before doing any work on it--the rest of the wires should be inert AFTER you do this--just take lots of digital pics and unplug the molex connections as needed. I found it easier to mount the pc monitor as a unit however and avoided disconnecting all the wires--different monitors require different procedures i guess.
As far as the base goes, that little tab in the forfront of the second pic is usually a plastic spring clip--pull it down then slide the base back to unattach it--it may be on there good so you might have to fiddle with it.
