I posted this in the monitors section, but it wasn't getting much attention. I hope someone here can help me out. (Mods: please delete my thread there. Thanks. -Zach)
I've got a WG arcade monitor, ArcadeVGA and a JPAC.
My keyboard is plugged into the JPAC, the female-female PS2 cable is connecting the JPAC to my computer, and the monitor is functional.
When I power up my computer, I get both the sync and OK lights. Windows XP begins to load up and just when Windows is about to start, I lose both lights and the screen goes black. Eventually, my computer restarts and not surprisingly, I become sad.
Windows XP boots up fine in safe mode, so I'm assuming it's a driver issue. I'm using the drivers from the Ultimarc CD, which I installed in safe mode.
One thing to note is that I was running the JPAC without the PS2 cable for a few hours before I realized the cable was necessary. I only realized I needed the cable when I went back to search for information about some (green) discoloration on the left side of monitor. I hope it's not perm :-\
If anyone can help me out with either of these problems, I would appreciate it. Thank you kindly.

I was able to keep the arcade monitor functional, but not without unplugging my computer monitor from the ArcadeVGA. Everything is now functional, except I cannot understand why my comp. monitor being connection would affect the abilities of arcade monitor and the JPAC.
When they are both connected, the arcade monitor displays fine while the computer monitor flickers. Then, when Windows starts, the computer monitor works fine and the sync/ok lights shut up. Eventually, I would get a blue screen and the thing would shut off. Now, without the comp monitor, everything works fine on the arcade. Any ideas?

There are special rules for connecting an arcade monitor and a PC monitor at the same time...
http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainst.html (http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainst.html)
Using the top VGA connector on the card.
The top connector has the following function and can be used as required:
DOS: Duplicates the lower connector exactly. So you can connect a second arcade monitor.
WINDOWS: (with the ATI drivers loaded): Can be connected to a PC monitor. Perform the following steps:
After starting Windows with the second monitor connected, go to "display", "settings", click on the large "2" box (monitor number 2) and enable the check box "extend the Windows Desktop onto this monitor".
Then click OK and exit the display dialog box completely.
Go back into "Display", "settings", "advanced" and click the "displays" tab. You will see two enabled monitor icons. In these boxes are blue buttons which set which monitor is primary and which is secondary. The primary monitor contains the taskbar, etc and the secondary extends the desktop to the right. Select the primary "1" and secondary "2" as required, depending on whether you are using the PC or Arcade Monitor.
To change the resolution, go to "display", "settings" and click on the "1" or "2" to select which monitor you wish to set, then change resolution as required.
You can also set the secondary monitor to "clone mode" but this means you cannot run it at a high resolution compared to the arcade monitor. Using clone mode therefore disables the MAME resolutions on the arcade monitor as a PC monitor cannot "clone" these resolutions.
If using two monitors, be sure to read the ATI help on this subect. Right-click on the ATI taskbar icon and select "help". Look for the subject "Multiple Displays".
