Title: No PacMan in MAME?
Post by: RayB on May 31, 2004, 12:24:47 am
This might seem like a dumb question, but see I was into MAME back in the late 90's. Then I forgot about, and then now in the last 6 months my interest was rekindled.

I JUST noticed today that PacMan is not even listed in MAME's game list. I think I recall it used to be. I'm pretty sure it was, cuz wasn't that Nicola's first emulator?

Anyways, did Namco get upset and make them remove it, or what? (seems strange they would do that considering many (most) of their other games are still emulated.)

Pacman is under Puckman because when Pacman was invented it was released first in Japan where the teens are very well behaved. When it got to America the crazy young uns got busy with their magic markers and Puckman became ****man.
