Title: Lose OK/Sync Using ArcadeVGA/JPAC/XP
Post by: chinabox on May 30, 2004, 09:30:11 pm
After some amount of toil, I'm stumped.

I've got a WG arcade monitor, ArcadeVGA and a JPAC.

My keyboard is plugged into the JPAC, the female-female PS2 cable is connecting the JPAC to my computer, and the monitor is functional.

When I power up my computer, I get both the sync and OK lights.  Windows XP begins to load up and just when Windows is about to start, I lose both lights and the screen goes black.  Eventually, my computer restarts.  Windows XP boots up fine in safe mode, so I'm assuming it's a driver issue.  I'm using the drivers from the Ultimarc CD.

One thing to note is that I was running the JPAC without the PS2 cable for a few hours before I realized the cable was necessary.  I only realized I needed the cable when I went back to search for information about some (green) discoloration on the left side of monitor.  I hope it's not perm  :-\

If anyone can help me out with either of these problems, I would appreciate it.  Thank you kindly.
