I've been lurking around here for a long time and thought I'd share what I've built.
These are based on the miniMame plans at miniMame.com. One of them has a horizontal monitor, everything that was 14 inches wide was changed to 16 inches wide...
I don't really like the bezel, I need to add sideart... I want my own marquee... still thinking about the control panels... would like to have some much smaller buttons to use for admin buttons... the coin in buttons on the yellow one at the bottom of the bezel are really close to the monitor inside...
I suppose projects like this are never completed, only abandoned. There are lots of details I'd like to address.. but these do represent the first time I've used powertools since high school shop class, so
I have a couple of dead cabs that have suffered from conversions (a Gauntlet and an Asteron Belt... only the shapes and a sticker or two give away their identity) that will be my next projects.... so maybe I'll clean these two up later...

if it doesn't show up here for some reason....

Nice jobs. I'm curious though, why did you put Pac graphic styling on the horizontal cab and not the vertical?
-
I am really not done with the vertical... I've got a full house this weekend so I rushed that one to the floor... more artwork is coming...
-
They are coooool! Damn good job you lurker you.
-
yeah, very nice job! :)

great use of old pc hardware! how tall are those little bad boys?
-
THose are pretty cool. It reminds me kinda of a casino. Let me explain.
Make a platform. On top of the platform, place say 3 Mini mames on top. Grab 3 stools. Maybe I have to draw a picture.
-
These are both 4 feet tall.
I've thought of the platform idea also, although these were mostly in use by kids last weekend (we had two birthday parties and a baby shower in our house over memorial day weekend).
It was fun watching the adults play...sitting on the floor.
Maybe I could replace the coin buttons with levers on the sides for the casino feel. I'll get right on that :)

I love those little machines. Awesome job.

Loving those cabs. :)

Are those standard buttons, joysticks or is it a minerature version, and if so, where or how did you come by them?
-
The joysticks and buttons are all standard. The yellow cab has a happs and the blue cab has a Tstik plus. I like the Tstik plus allot better for the 4 way games than the 8 way games.
I'd like some suggestions on small buttons, I'd like to use smaller buttons for all of the non-gameplay buttons (like start buttons).
