Title: Help - Yes.... Another wood Vs. T-mold question
Post by: big_garryb on May 27, 2004, 08:20:29 am
Ok - i have read a lot of the threads re: wood and t-molding. And thought i had it sussed. But I'm picking up the wood tonight, and some doubts are creeping in.........can someone pls advise - or indeed point me to another thread i may have missed out.

Just now i have 5/8" T-mold. Im in Scotland so i though i would need 16mm MDF - would the mold cover the edge on this ok? (i believe so).  Anyway my cab base will split in two (ease of moving), and the top section would have the artwork on the side..... i thought maybe about covering this with lexan - but now i dont think that mold will cover this and maybe i should get 3/4" t-mold for this. Anyone clarify this?

Everything would be easier if the UK used bloody inches for measuring stuff...........

Anyway thanks in advance - and ive started taking photos of the stuff i got - will try to post pics up as i go along....

Sorry for repeating the above - i know there are loads of other threads re this..... but as the time came close i started thinking... what if......... My brain is doing overtime.
Cheers,
garry

From my experience the metric measurements are just rounded off imperial measurements. I got 18mm MDF and when I measured it, it was exactly 3/4 inches thick, so whatever millimeter size is closest is probably right.
