I'm attempting a keyboard hack and the one thing I either couldn't find or I overlooked is that my keyboard encoder has a ground wire...what do I do with it when I run ghost keys to map the matrix??
-
Is it a bigger black wire? I could be wrong, but I think this is for static protection. I did a hack not long ago and never did anything with this wire, and it worked okay.

yes, it's a bigger black wire...thanks for the help.

You should be careful with grounds. Lifting a ground can cause many problems like noise and static shorts. I would recommend trying to hook it up to a ground somewhere. Then again, like Peale, you could have no problems at all.
