Title: need help with CPO

Hey all, I'm a newbie to graphics.  I drew out my control panel with AutoCAD and made the panel already, not I'm looking to make a nice overlay for it.  I have searched this forum and viewed a ton of great artwork.  I will show you what my raw file is like and what I have done so far in an effor tot learn Adobe Illustrator.
so hre is the basic layout without any graphics

Here is the pac-man version I did by ripping a single player pacman cp someone had done.

but I am looking for a design that will flow more with this marque.  any ideas?

another attempt at a cpo with more of the futuristic look I am looking for.  Although I am not sure I am quite getting it.

ok, maybe it is me, but did only the marquee show up as a good image?  The others took on the message post but don't seem to show as a valid link when I view them.  I am guessing that the rest of you are experiencing the same thing.  Can anyone help out here?
