Peale,
I understand where you are coming from with this thread (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=19049), but...

Maybe the name should be changed to include the term "newbie: read me first" because the FAQ is now on this page and it seems like all the newbies miss it cause they keep asking the same ol' questions.

Or maybe the FAQ should be also put on the main page as it's own sticky.
