Title: List games' button numbers?

Does anyone know of a list of MAME games catagorized by # of buttons they require?

Or for that matter, is there an Excel file out there with all the MAME games listed, including # of buttons they require (thus I could sort it based on that criteria).

See I don't plan on playing fighting games on my cab, so that eliminates the need for 6 buttons. I like alot of the old Jamma classics, which historically used 2 maybe 3 buttons.

But which games use 4?

note, this gets its info from mame's listinfo which isn;t 100% accurate on number of buttons.

Hey Talking Octopus (say what?!) I tried SortInfo and all it does is show me a list of about 30 games instead of showing me ALL games MAME supports.

Any idea why?

I have heard that it has problems with some of the more recent versions of MAME.  I always use it with .66 and it works fine.  Try an older version of MAME.

Hey that's a cool tool. But SirPoonga sure was right about MAME info not being accurate... Games like Arkanoid Returns, Block Out, etc (games that use one or two buttons) are listed as using 4. I guess I will have to hunt through KLOV.
