No kidding... I cannot tell you how many times people need to know the molecular weight of a carbon molecule when I am out at the bars; they should just hang up periodic table of elements posters in bars, it would be easier.

Slideshow thingy, you're looking for a photo program.  ACDSee makes a Palm version....dynamite.  I use ACDSee for the PC, it has a slideshow, dunno about the Palm version, but check it out.  Screensaver....they're out there, but it's gonna be a waste if you're working in B/W.

That thing has OS 5 right?  Make sure if it does that all your progs are written for 5, because, like XP, you may not be able to use your favorite prog for it.

Smart Shopper, if you're into tracking how much you're spending going through the grocery store or Sam's club.

Games....of course.....Whaddaya like?  Spades, Bejeweled, Drug Wars, Monopoly...all on mine.

Search for hacks, as well.  Teal makes a bunch of 'em you'll find useful.

Memory program, language program, BETTER note taker & address book.

Check your PM for a nice site to peruse palm software.  Heck, it's almost ALWAYS a free trial, download away and give 'em a shot!

The M105 is an OS3.5 model with a 160x160 resolution monochrome screen. I forgot to ask, but why would you want a screensaver/slide show on that?

Who hasn't wanted to trick out their Palm?  I'm guessing he just got it for dirt cheap and wanted to set it up like his PC.

That one had only 2 Mb of memory, too, right?  If so, make sure you pick your applications judiciously...you'd be surprised how quickly that space goes, even with the small sizes of the programs.

I'd also say update that OS to at least 4 if you can.....not the newest 4, but a step or two behind the latest greatest 4.

It has 8MB RAM so that should be fine, but no flash ROM (so no OS upgrades)

I was just wondering about using a low res monochrome screen for displaying pictures (the topic). They would make nice units for displaying game descriptions though.

I had a Visor.  I used it for balancing my checkbook.  linked it up with my GPS.  I had a couple of springboard modules for it too.

Seph, check that second link I told you about...the other web forum.  They'll have a bunch.  Just remember, ya gotta register or else it's a pretty bland site, and they're MUCHO harsh on newbies who don't read the rules or post contrary to the "rules".  Peace and love don't rule there  :P

Check your PM, too.
