Title: Advmame trouble with one set of resolutions
Post by: menace on May 18, 2004, 09:37:33 am
So I got advmame all set up using the trident and Jpac and all the video modes look good except 1: 288x224--namely pacman, galaga and company.  I created a custom resolution of exactly 288x224 at 60.06 hz and without fail advmame chooses 400x272 (a generated mode) for all games in this resolution class.  and if i pick 288x224 manually it doesn't look so hot--I'm quite frustrated now.

So for those of you running advmame, what resolution did your advmame pick for pacman etc.?

Pleae share your solution. However obvious, it may help someone who use the search.

I cheated--I made pacman fill the screen without distrortion by using the monitor controls, then i went back into advv and reconfigured all the other resolutions to fill the screen--took awhile but they all look good now.
