Title: Token Images by Pixel and Chris
Post by: DrewKaree on May 17, 2004, 09:38:11 pm
I'm not sure if there is a way to put this so that everyone feels good in their innards....what I am hoping for is that I could get an Adobe format (Photoshop or Illustrator, doesn't matter) version of your images (atomic, pac-man, and Atari/YMCA/United Way guy).  I have been wanting to play around with them since I first saw them, and I couldn't use the images posted here for the obvious reason of most web-ready images not looking real good outside of a web environment.  I'm looking for the more "coiny" looking images, or as Pixel calls it, "bling".

If not, I understand completely.

Reason:  I'm thinking of doing a collage with them for a CP, and using a bartop-type finish (two part epoxy finish)...perhaps you've seen something like it before, perhaps not, but I think it'd look cool for one of my CP's, and I want to start working on making a form for the epoxy.

Mebbe even make 'em into phat medallions to hang on a thick rope chain, ala the Mercedes emblem, rapper-style....NOT! ::)

*edit*  Click here for link to epoxy finish (http://www3.woodcraft.com/Finishing/woodworking/4140.htm)

Well, we're still finalizing small  details for the minting process.  Once that's done, I certainly don't have a problem making the line-art available.  If you want to play a bit, one of the last images I posted in the design thread is in black and white line art.

I'd go for that phat medallion... as long as it was solid gold and not that cheap plated stuff.  I wanna feel that sucka around my neck

So you're looking for something like Flava Flav's clock, that size, yo?

Click here for a "picture" idea of the stuff (http://www.barplan.com/images/RS_Bar_2.jpg)

Chris, I'm still searching for a good picture of what I'm trying to achieve.  I've seen several examples (@ Reagan International they've used coasters) and done it once for someone, but can't seem to find it on the net.  The "bling" images are what it's gotta be, so as to look like some real coins under there, but thanks for the line art suggestion.

Yeah.  Depending on how it looks, I may be adding a scanned Gold Dollar and other gold-colored coins as well.  From what I've read from Frosty and others, 300 dpi is best for CP overlays.

I can find all kinds of description web pages of what I'm trying to achieve, but no pics better than the link I posted above.

Go for it. We might even post them to Mahuti's site?

You should definitely post them on the Arcade Art Library (http://www.localarcade.com/arcade_art)
