I've been looking for some info on building pool tables but all I can find is spam crap.
Anybody know of a good site on EXACTLY how to get the felt on?
Any plans or sources for building your own quarter table?

The only BYO pool table plans I've seen were in a Popular Mechanics magazine a few years ago. You might try searching their site to see if you can find that issue and order a copy.

There is a show on TLC called Trading Spaces: Family. They did one a couple of months ago I think. Considering that they spent less than 2 days working on it, they did a good job.

Being that I am a good pool player I wouldn;t want to go that route. I'd rather get a good single slate table form a good manufacturer. But if you don't care about quality so much felt isn't tought to put on. It's usually stretches over the coners and fastend on the bottom side. The felt ont he bumpers is usually fasten on the backside that attaches to the pool table. It's much like stretching leather on your own motorcyle seat.
A quick google search gave me this, not sure how helpful those are.

I don't know how much help this will be, but a year or two ago there was a person that posted to the rec.woodworking newsgroup, information and his website that told of his quest to build a pool table from scratch. His final product was very well done. If you go to www.groups.google.com and search for "pool table" in rec.woodworking, you should be able to come up with it.
Hope this helps,

this is probably what you are looking for:

There is a highly repeated reference to a the Fine Woodworking index (generously posted by Bob Wilson) shows plans for the pool table are in the March/April 1989, issue 75, on page 38.
There is also another highly repeated reference to the Fine Woodworking Project book.
