OK I've been playing with Johnny5 (!), and I'm trying to use my custom layout...when using the -lof switch, do I need to enter the whole .lof file path, or just the name (the .lof file resides in the \layouts folder)?
If I don't use the path (ie -lof stick_panel.lof) it just uses the default layout,
If I do use the path (ie -lof d:\johnny5\layouts\stick_panel.lof) then I get a Run Time Error 52.
Perhaps there is a problem with the layout (I removed a lot of labels), but it opens fine in the viewer. Any ideas?

It's a bug.... edit the default.lof file and make a backup copy for now.

I have a couple of suggestions for ya when you do get round to it...nothing too major. Have fun with real life, I'm trying to avoid it atm ;)
