Anyone out there have an example of a wood laminate or stained cab? I was kind of thinking doing part of mine with wood laminate (or stained if it looked good) but havent seen any examples out there (went searching through random peoples profiles with no luck :p).
Thanks!

It's not pretty as I haven't worked on it yet, but this is from my basement (laminate):

Nice.
I'm probably going to go with a really light colored wood laminate to cover part of my MDF side. That all oak cab looks pretty damn nice.

I agree. His cab does look sweet. My cab, however, I'm probably going to take that laminate off and either relaminate it plain black or just paint it...

This is probley easier/cheaper then oak+stain 8)

Thanks for the pics.
Are you pretty satisfied with the look of the wood laminate snake? Looks nice in the pictures but its tough to tell unless you are actually there ;) My only concern is it could make it look cheap (and fake).

I'm going with cherry, as I only like dark woods. The rolls are only 24" wide, but that will give it the look of using planks. This stuff was designed for application to MDF and is easy to put on and trim.
Anyone else know of a good source for this stuff?

Here's my wood cabinet, finished it yesterday, it's my final project in art school (getting my diploma with this baby!) more (better) pics and info coming soon. Made of oak and bits of teak.

You don't even have to use high grade wood to get an awesome finish if you stain it. I stripped an old converted Galaxian cabinet, stained it light oak, and installed a Top Gunner kit with NOS sideart and the thing looked awesome. Of course that was in my pre-camera days, so I don't have any pictures of it. I can say that the buyer said it was the nicest looking conversion game he had ever seen, and happily paid $250 for it even though it BADLY needed a cap kit.

I recently saw a Capcom Bowling with that same laminate on it, looked awesome.
