Title: Filtering games by type in Mamewah?
Post by: krick on May 10, 2004, 10:55:25 am
I'm currently using Mamewah (http://mamewah.mameworld.net/) as my front end.  Scrolling through 1000+ game titles to find what I am looking for is a major pain.  Is there some automated way to sort the games into different pages by genre or other categories (sports/puzzle/fighter/driving, horizontal/vertical, raster/vector, #of players, etc...)?

If you want to group them into categories you'll need to get the catver.ini file (http://www.mameworld.net/catlist/files/catver.zip (http://www.mameworld.net/catlist/files/catver.zip)) and put it in your mame directory, if you don't already have it.

Then just go into MameWah and generate custom lists using category filters - there's a section in the readme that tells you how to do this.
