whats the point can I ask?

These games where designed to be played on a interlaced TV picture?

Too much detail appears lost when running at such low resolutions IMO.

720x480 looks great (well...  least on my monitor).   More authentic effectively than trying to run N64 games in non-interlaced arcade resolutions.

Beesides the fact that n64 games use analog controls.  In other words, you can't play them on a standard layout.

If your answer to that is "but I have n64 controllers interfaced." Then my response to you is .... Why?

So you want to stand up in front of a arcade cabinet for HOURS  playing a n64 game on the original controller, dealing with the horrible emulation problems of all n64 emulators when you could be sitting in your living room, relaxing, and playing the games on your tv on a real n64 as they were intended to be played.   It's just dumb guys.

The only reason I can think of that a person would want to do this is to play n64 games they don't own.  And if that's the case you know what I think of you.  :P

lol, I think howard is having a "Bad Fur Day"... which funnily enough, is the only reason I tried N64 emulation on my cabinet....  my sit down sega astro city cabinet.... using proper controllers for the experience via USB PC converters.  Not completely dumb in that scenario I feel! :D

Infact, I argue with that games quite accurate emulation, it looks better than it would on my TV.  I kid you not.  In 720x480 that is...
