Once you have recieved your copy of "Project Arcade, " Support Saint and write a review on bn.com and amazon.com. I have only had to book for a few days and haven't read all of the way through it just yet. As soon as I do, I'll post a review.

DONE. Great job SAINT!! This book is making my first MAME cabinet a whole lot easier.
The CD could be a little better, but the book is priceless!

Actually I found the book to be very informative (good info and lots and lots of great links) ... the CD is ok.
My only gripe about the book is the use of Lusid's design.
Personally I think it's a bit vague for the first timer and difficult to follow along with. I know I got lost and then bored reading the build chapter ... not enough step by step pics (... I know the CD makes up for that with the UAII plans which are 10x better when it comes to detail).
Just my opinion but I think the "Vectoraster Project" plans are best out there for the first time cabinet builder (every bit as good as the UAII plans with a ton of pictures and commentary to follow along with on the website which makes building so much simplier). Plus it's the only site that I've come across that covers the mounting of a WG D9200 in depth which is great.
Still a great read 8)
That's just my two cents :)

The book includes the UA II plans??????????
-
yup ;D (cheaper to buy the book than buying the plans from mameroom.com ... weird huh)
Mameroom is making up for that though with the pre-cut kits (CNC routed pieces out of 5/8" MDF ... predrilled holes too ... very similar to the StikSlik cabinet kits with more options)

Just ordered it from Amazon....
/laments postage costs to New Zealand

/laments postage costs to New Zealand
That's why I ordered a couple of arcade related books, so the cost of shipping to Australia although higher for 5 books, was far cheaper per book.
-
yeah I got a couple of others too

Thank you for the reviews! They're very kind and much appreciated!

Saint!...I just go my autographed book from you and I love it!
Great job....very cool....and I'm looking forward to the 2nd edition already! (maybe a full on CD ROM?-- with step by step instructional Videos (or DVD)???....that would be cool!).
I just posted my glowing reviews on Amazon and B&N.
Good luck...I hope you sell enough to keep you in Happs Controls for a lifetime.

Just got my autographed copy too! I thought this website was full of information, but I learned a whole lot of additional tricks, tips, ideas, etc. reading through the book. Also comes in handy when I'm not near my computer but need a quick answer.
I'll be posting a review soon.
EDIT: Just posted a review and forgot to thank Saint. Thanks Saint.

You must be talking about this (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=books&field-author=Clair%2C%20John%20St./002-3048592-0200801).

Much as I would like to claim a literary past, alas, the only book I have written is Project Arcade. The other John St.Clair(s) are imposters :)
